OGRE!!!

An anonymous post to the OGLE forums points out the existence of yet another OGLE-like product. This one was all in german which is probably why I didn't find it in the first place, but they chose such a similar name: OGRE: The OpenGL Grabber (translation ito english).

This one already supported normals, textures, and shaders(?), so my initial thought is -- I wasted my time!! However, as stated on the site, it was written in 2001 and isn't expected to support modern OpenGL apps (which it doesn't when I test it against GEarth, SecondLife, or World Of Warcraft), nor is there any sort of support or feedback mechanism for people who want to use the tool.

Very Sexy

Probably the sexiest thing I have seen done with OGLE yet (posted anonymously to the OGLE forums):

OGLE Launched

In appreciation for the concepts of revisionist history, this is the blog post for the launch of the OGLE project. We actually launched the project on the Eyebeam reBlog, and it got a huge boost from Pesco over at .
